Methodology: how we rate online casinos in Chile
Each casino gets a score from 0 to 10 built from five fixed-weight criteria: safety and licence 30%, deposits and withdrawals 25%, bonuses 15%, games 15% and support 15%. We test with a real account, check the licence on the regulator's register and publish the negatives. The ranking is not for sale.

The five criteria and their weight
The weights add up to 100% and are the same ones used by each review's score, the ranking table and the structured data.
| Criterion | Weight | What we check |
|---|---|---|
Security and licence Which licence the operator holds, who issues it, whether the number appears on the regulator's public register and what protections it gives players. | 30% |
|
Deposits and withdrawals Local methods available, minimum deposit in pesos, real withdrawal time measured by our team, and fees. | 25% |
|
Bonuses and terms We reward clarity, not size: wagering, maximum bet, validity and excluded games. | 15% |
|
Games and providers Real variety of slots, tables and live casino, and whether the providers are audited studios. | 15% |
|
Customer support Live chat in Spanish, opening hours, and response time measured in our tests. | 15% |
|
What each score means
The final score is the weighted average of the five scores in the table above, rounded to one decimal place. There is no manual score: if a criterion changes, the total changes, and so do the ranking position on the home page and the "best by category" cards.
| Score | How to read it | What usually falls short |
|---|---|---|
| 8,5 to 10 | Verified licence, withdrawal measured at under 48 hours, clear bonus terms. | Almost nothing; sometimes a native app or a local payment method is missing. |
| 7,5 to 8,4 | Recommendable, with specific reservations the review explains. | High rollover, slow withdrawal on some method, or support only during limited hours. |
| 6,5 to 7,4 | It works, but there are better alternatives in the same category. | Unverified licence, few peso payment methods, confusing bonus terms. |
| Below 6,5 | We do not recommend it today. The review says why. | Operating company cannot be identified, withdrawal complaints, no limit tools. |
While a listing shows "data being verified", its scores are provisional: they come from the operator's public information and are corrected once we finish the real-account test.
How we test each casino
- Licence check. We look for the licence number in the casino's footer and check it on the regulator's public register (Malta Gaming Authority, Curaçao Gaming Control Board or another). We note the date. If we cannot find it, the listing says so: "unverified". We never copy a number from another review.
- Real account. We sign up with real details, deposit with a Chilean method (cuenta RUT, BancoEstado's basic account; Webpay, Transbank's online card payment gateway; Khipu, a Chilean bank-transfer payment service; or MACH, a Chilean digital wallet) and request a withdrawal. We measure the time in hours from the request until the money appears in the account. We keep dated screenshots.
- Bonus read in full. Rollover, maximum bet while the bonus is active, validity in days, excluded games and forfeiture clauses, exactly as they appear in the operator's terms. If a figure is not in the terms, it stays as [VERIFICAR], not as an approximate number.
- Support. We ask something specific by chat (for example, how long a withdrawal to a cuenta RUT takes) and measure how long they take to answer in Spanish and whether the answer is useful.
- Games. We count recognised providers, live tables with Spanish-speaking dealers, and whether each game's RTP is published.
- Score and publication. Each criterion gets a score from 0 to 10. The weighted total is calculated automatically and the review is published with the test date.
What we do not do
- We do not accept texts written by the operator or "sponsored reviews".
- We do not make up figures. When a fact is not confirmed, we write [VERIFICAR] and add it to our list of open items.
- We do not call an operator without a Chilean licence "legal". Today none has one; our legal guide explains the situation.
- We do not hide the negatives: every review has a list of cons, including the fact that the domain may be blocked by your internet provider.
When a score changes
A score changes only because of a verifiable fact: a withdrawal that took longer than promised, a change in the bonus terms, a licence that no longer appears on the register, or a domain added to the block list of Subtel (Chile's telecoms regulator). Every change is recorded in the page history with a date and reason, and the "last updated" date does not move for cosmetic changes.
We check licences and bonuses every month and repeat the deposit and withdrawal test at least once a quarter.
Independence and how we make money
This site is funded by affiliate commissions: if you open an account through our links, the casino pays us. Links are marked as sponsored and go through our own redirect, with no tracking parameters hidden in the text. That does not change the ranking order, which comes from the scores above. We list casinos we have no deal with, publish everyone's cons and record every change. More detail in about us.
Responsible gambling as a criterion
Within "safety and licence" we check whether the casino lets you set deposit limits, breaks and self-exclusion from your account. An operator without these tools cannot score above 6,5 on that criterion. Our responsible gambling page explains how to use them.
Corrections
If you find an incorrect fact, write to us through the contact page with the URL and the fact. We correct it, record the change with the date in the page history and, if the error affected a score, recalculate it.
Frequently asked questions
What does a score of 8,0 in the ranking mean?
It means the weighted average of its five scores comes to 8,0: a verifiable licence, peso payments with withdrawals measured in hours, a bonus with readable terms, a catalogue from audited providers and Spanish-language support that answers. It does not mean the casino is legal in the sense of holding a Chilean licence: no casino on this site has one.
Do casinos pay to appear in the ranking?
No. We earn a commission if you open an account through our links, but the order comes from the weighted score and we list operators we have no deal with. An operator cannot buy a position or ask us to remove a negative point.
How often are reviews updated?
We check licences and bonus terms every month and redo the deposit and withdrawal test at least once a quarter. A page's update date only changes when its content changed, and the history says what changed.
