Responsible gambling: limits, self-exclusion and help in Chile
Gambling is entertainment that costs money, not a way to earn it. Every casino on this site is for over-18s only. Here are the four control tools you can switch on today, the warning signs and the Chilean organisations to turn to if gambling becomes a problem.

The basic rule
No online casino pays out over the long run: every game has a house edge, published as RTP (return to player), and the welcome bonus is an incentive to deposit, not a gift. If you play, do it with money you have already written off, like a cinema ticket. If you need to win to pay for something, do not play.
Every casino on this site is for over-18s only. None holds a Chilean licence or is supervised by the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ, Chile's casino regulator), so control tools depend on each operator and there is no national register to coordinate them. Our legal guide explains what that means for you.
Four tools you can switch on today
Almost every casino we review lets you set these from your account settings or by chat:
| Tool | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | A daily, weekly or monthly cap you cannot raise without a waiting period. | Before your first deposit. Set the amount you would accept losing in a month. |
| Loss and time limits | Ends the session when you reach a set loss or number of hours. | If you notice you play more than planned, or late at night. |
| Break (time-out) | Locks the account for anywhere from 24 hours to several weeks. | After a losing streak or an argument about gambling. |
| Self-exclusion | Closes the account for six months or more, with no way to reopen it earlier. | If gambling is already costing you money, relationships or work. |
Switch them on before you start, not after a losing streak. Under our methodology, a casino that does not offer these tools cannot score above 6,5 on the safety criterion, and every review in the casino list says whether it has them.
Warning signs
- You bet to win back what you lost.
- You gamble with money meant for bills, rent, debts or family.
- You lie about how much time or money you spend on gambling.
- You borrow money or sell things to keep playing.
- You feel anxious or irritable when you cannot play.
- You have tried to stop and could not.
If you recognise two or more, do not wait: talk to someone you trust and switch on self-exclusion that same day. Asking for help does not require having lost everything.
Where to get help in Chile

If someone close to you has a problem
- Talk without accusing: describe what you see ("you spent your salary in two days"), not what you think the person is.
- Do not lend money to "get out of the hole": it feeds the streak.
- Offer to go with them to the first meeting or call; the first step is the hardest.
- Protect your own money: separate accounts and passwords the other person does not know.
If the online betting law is passed
Bill 14.838-03 includes responsible gambling obligations for operators that obtain a Chilean licence, such as limits and self-exclusion mechanisms supervised by the SCJ. [VERIFICAR alcance exacto del texto aprobado] When that happens, we will update this page and our guide to the online betting law.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I have a gambling problem?
Common signs: betting more than you planned, trying to win back losses, hiding how much you gamble, borrowing money to bet, or neglecting work and relationships. If you recognise two or more, talk to someone you trust and switch on the casino's deposit limits that same day.
Can I self-exclude from every online casino at once?
There is currently no national self-exclusion register for online casinos in Chile, because there are no local licences and no regulator supervising them. You have to request self-exclusion at each casino separately, from its responsible gambling section or by chat, and keep the confirmation.
